Dr. Nesrine Changuel is a passionate and experienced product coach and advisor. For over a decade she held senior product management roles at Google, Spotify, and Microsoft. Let’s ask her some questions!

Nesrine shares what it’s like organizing and participating in a CoP at a large, multinational company like Google. Some of the top challenges in this setting involve prioritizing which CoP events to participate in (there are simply too many to realistically join all of them!) and ensuring there’s a diverse slate of speakers who represent the broad range of career levels, interests, and identities among the Google product management community.

Nesrine hasn’t yet been in the office once. Since she joined Google in Stockholm earlier this year as a product manager, she experienced a well designed remote onboarding process and developed the Google Meet video background feature remotely. Dr. Nesrine Changuel is a Product Manager at Google and formerly at Spotify, Microsoft, and Nokia. She has managed highly visible consumer products for the past ten years such as Google Chrome, Google Meet, and Skype.

Before turning into the Product role, Nesrine worked as a research engineer at Nokia Bell Labs. She holds a Ph.D. Degree and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. She has spoken at a variety of international conferences and held multiple tech patents in her name for her inventions. She is active among product communities and passionate about sharing her experience and promoting the Product Management career.

Nesrine is a Senior Product Manager at Google and formerly at Spotify, Microsoft and Nokia. She has managed highly visible consumer products for the past eight years, focusing on strategic initiatives that distil deeply ingrained aspects of media experience into simple, fun, and useful features. She is currently working on improving media quality for Google video conference product and previously managed audio and video features for enhancing music listening experience at Spotify.
